As C.T pointed out I haven't updated. I was in Bintan for camp.
CAMP.
For school.
Before I launch into my rant I'll say that camp was FUN. I had loooads of fun. I got to know my classmates better and did some crazy-ass bollywood dance made by Eugene and Nathan. Got to paddle a canoe, play beach volley ball and beach soccor!! XD!
Now onto the BAD part. (The part that we alllll love. xD! Ohhohohohoooo!)
First day we got to Bintan. We took a ferry. Everyone felt seasick. Though I usually have no problems I ended up having to climb to the roof and sit there because the bottom on the -dingy- ferry made me woozy. Then, we got to the resort via a horrible bus with no aircon. And it RAINED on our luggage. We saw the resorts huts. And I say resort loosly. The teachers told uis it was a newly furbished resort. It didn't look that way. The room I shared with 9 others had NO furniture. we had to run to our other classmates bathroom to use the toilets.
That's not the most exciting bit by far... That night I was stung three times on my left hand and once on my right. My hand swelled badly, i felt really really dizzy. I woke up and drank all my water. It wasn't enough. So I made my way down to the sand covered, open air hall and filled my bottle with more water. (There's no aircon btw) I drank more and felt sick as a dog. Then I threw up into the near by dustbin. Not exactly the best way to start a school camp...
I wasn't the only one who got attacked. 2 more guys had the same bites so we all had to be driven 2 the hospital at like 2am in the morning... =.=;; We had two jabs and a packet on medicine. One jab in the arm and another in the ASS. It was fickin PAINFUL. (c.t will laugh with her evil cackle as she reads what I wrote above. I CAN READ YOUR MIND!!!!)
I slept through the next day and missed going to the village. We all moved over to the dorms from the huts where we had mosquito nets to protect us from bugs and i kept my -extremely dirty- tracksuit on. As it ensurew i wasn't ravaged by insects every ten seconds. (Off spray does not work that well...)
The water used by us to shower, brush our teeth and all the USED toilet water is dumped into the sea below us. BELOW THE HUTS. And by some genius guess what happened... My hat flew off. INTO THE SEA. So I had to wade out to retrieve it. In my sandals. With shit floating around me= NOT COOL!!!!
